5. Complete Step 1 of online application to receive user ID and password in YOUR

mobile and e-Mail Inbox.

6. The registered mobile number and e-Mail ID must be accessible by the candidate all

the time for receiving all further communications related to admission. Use of

e-Mail ID and mobile number of others (like friends, relatives, internet browsing

centres, etc.) are HIGHLY DISCOURAGED. In such cases, there is a risk of missing

vital communication from TNAU.

8. Login with your user ID and password.

9. Complete Step 2 and Step 3 of online application.

10.Complete online payment using e-payment link (available in Step 4 of online

application). Fee is Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for SC / ST Candidates).

11.In case, you have not received the payment reference number from TNAU, wait for

24 hours. The reference number will be sent to your registered Mobile number and

e-Mail inbox. If attempt of payment is a failure, repeat from Instruction No. 10 above

to complete the payment process.

12.Login again with your user ID and password to download and print Joint Declaration

Form and Appendices / Checklist.

13.All candidates, except who have applied for seat under Differently Abled / Ex-

கோவை: தமிழ்நாடு வேளாண்மைப் பல்கலைக்கழகம், அதன் இணைப்பு, உறுப்புக் கல்லூரிகளில் மாணவர் சேர்க்கைக்கு மே 12-ஆம் தேதி முதல் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம் என்று பல்கலைக்கழக துணைவேந்தர் கு.ராமசாமி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

இதுகுறித்து கோவையில் அவர் கூறியதாவது:

தமிழ்நாடு வேளாண்மைப் பல்கலைக்கழகம், அதன் இணைப்பு, உறுப்புக் கல்லூரிகளில் இளம் அறிவியல் பிரிவில் வேளாண்மை, தோட்டக்கலை, வனவியல் உள்ளிட்ட 6 படிப்புகளும், இளம் தொழில்நுட்பப் படிப்புகளில் உயிர்த் தொழில்நுட்பவியல், உயிர்த் தகவலியல் உள்ளிட்ட 7 படிப்புகளும் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

இந்த ஆண்டும் மாணவர் சேர்க்கைக்கான விண்ணப்பங்களை ஆன்லைன் மூலமாகவே பதிவிறக்கம் செய்துகொள்ள வேண்டும். 2016-17-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான விண்ணப்பம் விநியோகம் குறித்த அறிவிப்பு மே 4-ஆம் தேதி வெளியாகும்.

மாணவர்கள் மே 12-ஆம் தேதி முதல் இணையதளத்தில் விண்ணப்பங்களைப் பூர்த்தி செய்து, பதிவு செய்ய வேண்டும். பொதுப் பிரிவு மாணவர்கள் ரூ.600, எஸ்.சி.,எஸ்.டி. பிரிவினர் ரூ.300 விண்ணப்பக் கட்டணமாகச் செலுத்த வேண்டும். பூர்த்தி செய்யப்பட்ட விண்ணப்பங்களை அனுப்ப ஜூன் 11-ஆம் தேதி கடைசி நாள்.

சிறப்பு ஒதுக்கீடுதாரர்கள் பூர்த்தி செய்யப்பட்ட விண்ணப்பங்களைப் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்து, தேவையான சான்றிதழ்களை இணைத்து, பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர் சேர்க்கைப் பிரிவில் நேரில் வழங்க வேண்டும்.

தரவரிசைப் பட்டியல் ஜூன் 20-ஆம் தேதி வெளியிடப்படும். ஒற்றைச்சாளர முறையில் கலந்தாய்வு நடைபெறும். சிறப்பு ஒதுக்கீட்டுக்கானக் கலந்தாய்வு ஜூன் 27, 28-ஆம் தேதிகளில் நடைபெறும். தொழில் கல்விக் கலந்தாய்வு ஜூலை 13-இல் நடைபெறும்.

முதல் கட்டக் கலந்தாய்வு ஜூலை 4-ஆம் தேதி முதல் 10-ஆம் தேதி வரை நடைபெறும். வெளிநாடு வாழ் இந்தியர்கள், நிறுவனங்களுக்கான கலந்தாய்வு ஜூலை 15, 16-ஆம் தேதிகளிலும், இரண்டாம் கட்டக் கலந்தாய்வு ஜூலை 25-ஆம் தேதி முதல் 28-ஆம் தேதி வரையிலும் நடைபெறும். கலந்தாய்வுக்குப் பின்னர் கல்லூரிகள் ஆகஸ்ட் 1-ஆம் தேதி தொடங்கும். தேவைப்பட்டால் மூன்றாம் கட்டக் கலந்தாய்வு ஆகஸ்ட் 8 முதல் 11-ஆம் தேதி வரை நடைபெறும்.

இளம் அறிவியல் பிரிவில் உறுப்புக் கல்லூரிகளில் 915 இடங்களும், இணைப்புக் கல்லூரிகளில் 1,380 இடங்களும், இளம் தொழில்நுட்பப் படிப்புகளில் 305 இடங்களும் என மொத்தம் 2,600 இடங்கள் உள்ளன. கடந்த ஆண்டு 42 ஆயிரம் விண்ணப்பங்கள் விற்பனை செய்யப்பட்டன. அதில் 32 ஆயிரம் பேர் விண்ணப்பித்தனர்.

மொத்த அரசு ஒதுக்கீட்டில் 15 சதவீதம் மத்திய அரசுக்கு வழங்கப்படும். இணைப்புக் கல்லூரிகளில் சேரும் மாணவர்களும் இணையதளம் மூலமாகவே விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும். அவர்களது அனைத்துச் சான்றிதழ்களையும் பல்கலைக்கழகம் சரிபார்க்கும். மேலும், அந்தக் கல்லூரிகளுக்கான முதல்வர்களையும் நாங்களே நியமித்து தேர்வுகளையும் நாங்களே நடத்துவோம்.

கடந்த ஆண்டுகளைப் போலவே இளம் அறிவியலில் வேளாண்மைப் படிப்பிலும்,

இந்த ஆண்டு வனவியல் படிப்பிலும் சேர மாணவர்கள் இடையே போட்டி அதிகமாக இருக்கும் என்று கருதுகிறோம். வேளாண் படிப்பை முடிக்கும் மாணவர்களில் ஆண்டுதோறும் 450 முதல் 600 பேர் வரை அரசுப் பணிக்குச் செல்கின்றனர்.

தோட்டக்கலை மாணவர்களில் சுமார் 400 பேர் வரையிலும், வேளாண் பொறியியல் மாணவர்களில் சுமார் 200 பேர் வரையிலும் அரசுப் பணிகளுக்குத் தேர்வாகின்றனர். 20 முதல் 30 சதவீதம் மாணவர்கள் உயர் கல்வியைத் தேர்வு செய்கின்றனர் என்றார்.

B-Tech (Chemical and Electrochemical engineering):

The centre for education runs a four year/8 semester undergraduate course in Chemical and Electrochemical engineering. Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, this one of a kind B.Tech program offers the scope for young students to venture into the wide frontiers of advanced chemical and electrochemical technology, with first hand research exposure at the largest electrochemical laboratory in the Asia Pacific region.

The B.Tech program had been designed by a panel of eminent scientists and academic experts in the year 1988, headed by the then Director Dr.Vasu. In the first year, the course covers basic engineering aspects. Important branches in chemical engineering, such as Chemical Process Calculations, Thermodynamics, Chemical Process Technology, Fluid Mechanics, Chemical Reaction Engineering, and Mechanical Operations are dealt with in the second year. In addition, the second year contains an introductory course on the basics of electrochemistry, and also exposes students to the aspects of Organic and Physical Chemistry. The third year continues with the chemical engineering concepts of heat and mass transfer, and then the course moves on to the electrochemical side. Vital branches of Electrochemical engineering, such as Electrodics, Electrochemical Reaction Engineering, Electrochemical Process Technology, Electrochemical Metal Finishing and Corrosion Engineering are covered exhaustively. Important concepts in instrumentation, management and energy technology have also been covered. The final year moves forward with more electrochemical branches such as Electrometallurgy, Electrochemical Material Science, Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Advanced Battery systems. Important keynotes are provided in the field of nanomaterials, professional ethics and Process Dynamics. The course ends with the completion of a specialized research project.

Admission Procedure

The Admission is purely on the basis of merit through the single window system, as per rule of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission, Anna University Chennai. The general criteria for admission can be seen from the common prospectus for admission to professional degree courses prescribed by the government of Tamil Nadu, which is issued every year. A total of 40 seats are available for each batch, out of which 5 seats are allotted to the students of other states. Application procedure and important dates may be collected from the website of Anna university, Chennai (Anna University Website).

The following is the basic admission cut off to gain admission in our college via the single window system of Anna University:197 – 180 (refer website).

SEATS: The total number of seats available for admission as per AICTE approval is 40. Out of this, 5 seats are available to students from states other than Tamilnadu.
